The Department of Agriculture and Livestock in Sharjah has begun distributing authentic wheat seeds, gifted by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, may God protect and preserve him, to farmers, in support of His Highness for the cultivation of strategic commodities in the country and the strengthening of the food security system. His Excellency, Dr. Khalifa Musabah Al-Tenaiji, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, said that the noble honor is a key link in the series of initiatives aimed at adopting the best methods aimed at producing the best types of wheat through the distribution of carefully selected and authentic strains, in addition to education and awareness campaigns on how to optimally cultivate these crops. The initiative witnessed a great demand from farmers to purchase these authentic seeds, expressing their deep thanks to His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, for his successive initiatives to support the agricultural sector in the emirate and provide safe and organic food crops.
