Dr. Khalifa Musabeh Ahmed Alteneiji , Chairman of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock(SDAL) in the presence of HE. Dr. Muhadtha Al Hashimi - Chairman of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, received Principal of the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), University of London, and his accompanying delegation, within the frame of coordination on specialized programs in the field of livestock science and veterinary medicine. The Head of the Department discussed with the delegation the efforts and plans of the Government of Sharjah under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, to develop plant and animal resources and further enhance their contribution to the food security system. The head of the Department discussed with the delegation research cooperation, exchange of experiences in agricultural and veterinary sciences, and livestock care, in line with the strategic vision of the Emirate of Sharjah in particular, and the United Arab Emirates in general. Dr. Khalifa Al-Teneiji indicated that the two delegations discussed a number of topics related to the agricultural and veterinary research sector, the adoption of modern agricultural technology and practices, the introduction and development of academic programs that serve agriculture and livestock, as well as agricultural research and innovation, challenges to agricultural development, through strengthened coordination and joint cooperation frameworks and local and global scientific research institutions, to establish qualitative projects related to agriculture and livestock. The delegation included Professor Stewart Reid, prencipal of the Royal Veterinary College of England, Professor Dr Warwick Bailey, Professor of Zoology and Project Advisor, Professor Adrian Boswood, Deputy Director of Education and Evaluation, and Nina Davies, Director of International Relations.
