HE Dr. Khalifa Musabeh Ahmed Alteneiji Chairman of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in Sharjah, discussed ways of cooperation in marketing Maliha Farm’s wheat product, with HE Majid Al Junaid, CEO of the Sharjah Cooperative; coinciding with the upcoming harvest season, scheduled for mid-March 2023. The two sides examined ways to enhance cooperation on opening outlets for the sale, marketing and distribution of Meliha farm wheat product. During the meeting, members of the Sharjah Cooperative, which is considered one of the major retail associations, gave an explanatory presentation on how to distribute and display the product, the presentation mechanism ,marketing procedures and packaging the product in a distinctive way. His Excellency  Khalifa Musabeh Ahmed Alteneiji commended   the efforts made by  the "Sharjah Cooperative" in the Emirate of Sharjah  highlighting the keenness of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to support the marketing of the local product through the opening of local marketing channels, in line with the Department's strategy aimed at achieving the sustainability of the agricultural sector and strengthening the food-security system, in collaboration with all relevant authorities in Sharjah,  and achieve local self-sufficiency over the coming years , lauding the quality of the local wheat product based on safe and clean agriculture and the selection of pure non-genetically modified seeds.  For his part, His Excellency Majid Al Junaid stated that that the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in Sharjah is a strategic partner, stressing the need to provide a permanent market for the local farm product, which enhances the food security for Sharjah in particular, and the UAE in general.
