The Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock (SDAL) discussed with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment ways to enhance strategic cooperation frameworks, combination of efforts in the area of agricultural and veterinary extension, and integration of roles between the department and the ministry; In an effort to enhance performance which contributes to the achievement of the highest standards of quality and efficiency in the delivery of services to farmers and livestock breeders, in a way that contributes to the achievement of the sustainable development strategy and goals. This came during a meeting between HE Dr. Khalifa Musabeh Ahmed Alteneiji Chairman of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in Sharjah with  His Excellency / Mohammed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services Sector at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, where they discussed strengthening collaboration and join efforts to create a unified data  platform for agriculture and livestock, activate partnership, and work to enhance effective communication channels. The meeting was attended by Razan Al Hammadi, Director of the Green Development Department at the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, Maryam Al Muaini, Head of the Livestock Department, Dr. Muhammad Al-Awn, organic products and extension Expert, Muhammad Obaid Al Zaabi, Director of Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, and Sheikha Ahmed Al Ali, Director of the Support and Follow-up Office at the Ministry. His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Musabah Al -Tunaiji pointed out that The Department of Agriculture and Livestock has an active partnership with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, underscoring its keenness to build channels of  communication with the ministry; With the aim of providing distinct services to farmers and livestock breeders, and supporting the sustainability process in the Emirate of Sharjah in line with the visions, directives and aspirations of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in the development of farms and livestock, the development of the agricultural sector, and developing and protecting local livestock . HE reiterated that the integration of efforts between the department and the ministry in providing agricultural and veterinary extension and creating a uniform platform for agricultural data and livestock consistent with best practices, contributes to improving the efficiency of agricultural development and animal husbandry, to ensure the compliance of local products with sanitary standards, free from harmful substances, and meet food safety levels.
