The agreement was signed by His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Musabah Alteneiji, chief of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, and Mr. Muhammad Sultan Al-Awani, Director General of Gulf Rider Foundation, in the presence of Naji Al-Shuwaihi, Director of the Support Services Department, Razan Al Hammadi, Director of the Green Development Department at the Department of Agriculture and Livestock,, Maryam Al Muaini, Head of the Livestock Department, and Kamal Saeed staff From the office of the chief of the department, and Mr. Walid Al-Sharbani, a veterinary specialist at Gulf Rider Foundation. Under the agreement, Gulf Rider Foundation will be the main contributor to the operation of the veterinary laboratory in the North Pasture in Al Dhaid region, to serve all farms in the region, along with providing veterinary services and medicines as per the specifications and technical and health guidelines sanctioned in the UAE, by specialists to manage veterinary services with high efficiency. It will also provide opportunities for training the department's veterinary technical personnel and participate in all existing veterinary work in the complex, in addition to providing the required data and statistics, and the utilization of products registered and accredited by the relevant authorities in the UAE. His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Musabah Alteneiji, chief of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, highlighted the vitality of the private sector role, pointing out that "the signing of the agreement comes in the context of the vital role played by the private sector, and enabling it to be a partner in promoting sustainable development in the Emirate of Sharjah, and a testament of the Departments keenness to broaden the reach of cooperation and strategic partnership with this vital sector, based on exchange of expertise and development of combined activities to enhance the food security system and tackle the challenges facing the livestock sector, pointing out that the agreement maintains collaboration between specialists in Gulf Rider Foundation with their counterparts in the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, to operate and manage the veterinary complex for the North Pasture, in conformity with the highest health and veterinary standards, to provide specialized top-notch services in the veterinary complex, stressing that “this cooperation is a core component of the department’s vision which is keen to enhance the quality of veterinary services it provides to all livestock breeders in Sharjah”.
